SENATOR commissioned Sitewards for the redevelopment of the Global Corporate site, with the following goals:

• Give SENATOR a "single face" for potential customers (B2B) and partners
• Make the online service more attractive by implementing interactive features and an extensive dealer area
• Improve the company’s brand recognition

Solution

Using the Zend Framework technology, which facilitates the implementation of modern web applications and web services, Sitewards first created a stable and flexible framework for the feature-rich website.

This was followed up with a number of technical refinements such as data transfer between the web application and the comprehensive inventory system, intuitive product search or the modern ticket tracking system, which picks up requests from customers. A specially designed Flash application, with which the configurable and customizable pens can be individually put together, enhances the inherent interactive experience of the website.

While visitors can learn about the SENATOR product portfolio and its finishing options, registered dealers also have other features at their disposal. They can use a password-protected partner area to create their own personalized price lists and access product-catalogs.

Currently in English, German and Dutch, the new website will soon be available in the languages of the other company locations.
