Just last year, Skype had done a report on the business uses of Skype as demonstrated by us at Sitewards. Then, on April 18, shortly after being awarded a position among Germany’s ‘Venue of Ideas 2008’, a film team from England visited us to shoot a case study on us. In the marketing context ‘Skype for Business’ the 5-minute video will be used as a Web-video link on the website of Skype and to be seen on other Broadcast-Media.

For the study which examines the extent to which Skype is used in companies, the Skype film team accompanied the Sitewards team all day as we went about our daily work. While, in most companies, communication software is only used for internal communications, we at Sitewards, also use Skype extensively for communicating with our customers. Whether it is with the Skype telephone, with a headset or with the standard chat function, we integrate many functions of Skype. This was also quickly noticed by the Skype film team, who were able to collect video and audio material in their 1-day video plan after numerous interviews with Sitewards team members.

Sitewards is seeking to expand its customer base in and around Europe starting with neighbors France and Luxembourg. Spearheading this strategy is a young MBA graduate Arun Pillai.

After having previously worked in various positions like in Marketing, Editorial, Customer Services and Sales in the booming BPO industry in Mumbai, India, Arun moved to Germany to pursue an MBA degree at the prestigious HHL-Leipzig Graduate School of Management and followed it up with a second Master’s degree from the ESC-Toulouse Business School in France.

Apart from Business Development, Arun is also studying the Financials of the company to project rates of return from the present projects to verify the possibility of investments into venture support and other projects. And presently, he is working with chief programmer Fabian to come up with a business plan and working model of a new website that is presently ‘under-wraps’ and when launched, will be one of the first Sitewards-labeled commercial website. After being bombarded by advertisements claiming that the French build the safest cars of the world (Renault in the NCAP crash test) we gave in and decided to get a French IT security expert to assess our networks.

As a student at a renowned French engineering school, Anthony decided to write his Diploma Thesis in Germany. Anthony – who specialized in network and operating systems - found in Sitewards the “perfect venue”: small company with large know-how in IT, web and design areas.

During his 6 month internship he’ll be running rounds of white hat hacking attacks on our server systems to test their formidability!

Sitewards developed a new corporate design for the Traumjobscout (literally "dream job scout") team, which supports the image of the Palatinate-based consultants in style and concept. The compass needle represents the orientation symbol for jobseekers of every age.

Along with the new logo, the company received business stationery – letter heads, business cards, presentation templates – which was designed in harmony with the logo in colour and form. We also developed flyers for the seminars, which are targeted towards audiences from school children to people looking for a complete career change.

The initiative "Deutschland, Land der Ideen", promoted by the German President and sponsored by the Deutsche Bank, awards 365 companies, institutes and organizations every year as a "Special Venue in the Land of Ideas".

The leading trio of Sitewards - Tij Gupta, Lars Ax and Constantin Kammerer - received the plaque and certificate from Deutsche Bank (Darmstadt) Director, Frank Schulze, for the honour of being one of the 365 plus 1 Special Venues in Germany in 2008. The small event was organized at the Sitewards office on 5th of February. Mr. Schulze praised the extraordinary teamwork and success of Sitewards in his laudation. The jury chose our Venture Support concept, which is unique in the way it offers support and bolsters young and experienced entrepreneurs alike.

At the end of the event, the Sitewards team and our guest raised a toast to the future possibilities. A round of office golf offered a relaxed afternoon, after the event. We will receive the trophy in an official event on the 14th of April 2008.

Sitewards has recently developed a sub-contractor system to the multi layered car management and sales system for AutoHirch. (Read the German case study).

We have now developed a new and effective statistics module, which allows the AutoHirch team to track and analyse the sales of the different classes and models of all the brands of cars, which the sub-contractors have sold in a particular time period.

With this useful tool, the AutoHirch team can track the demand of each model and optimize their sales strategies accordingly. The different graphic possibilities to display the statistics provide a flexible way to interpret the information and enhance the productivity of the company.

Sitewards created a new screen design with a clear structure for the system solution Vistesse from the ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH.

While the high quality pictures display the wonderful uses of concrete, the layout presents the website content in a clear structure.
